Job Title: Studio Lead (Architecture)
Location: Bangalore
Years of experience: 10-15 years
Job Overview:
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Studio Lead having completed 4-5 project life cycles. The Studio Lead will be responsible for overseeing architectural projects from conception to completion, ensuring high standards of design, technical execution, and client satisfaction.
Education: Bachelor’s / Masters degree in Architecture from a reputed school of architecture.
Roles and responsibilities:
1. Leadership and Management:
• Lead and manage the studio team, fostering a collaborative and innovative work environment.
• Mentor and guide junior architects and designers, providing professional development
opportunities.
• Allocate resources efficiently, ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget.
2. Project Oversight:
• Oversee multiple architectural projects simultaneously, ensuring adherence to design standards and client requirements.
• Manage project life cycles from initial concept through to construction and final handover.
• Coordinate with clients, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless project execution.
3. Design and Technical Excellence:
• Lead the design process, providing creative and technical direction to the project team.
• Ensure that all designs meet regulatory requirements, sustainability standards, and client specifications.
• Review and approve architectural drawings, specifications, and other project documents.
4. Client Relations:
• Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, maintaining strong and positive relationships.
• Understand client needs and objectives, translating them into effective design solutions.
• Present design concepts and project updates to clients, incorporating feedback into the project workflow.
5. Quality Control:
• Implement and maintain quality control procedures to ensure high standards of design and construction.
• Conduct regular site visits to monitor progress and ensure compliance with design intent and quality standards.
• Address and resolve any issues or challenges that arise during the project life cycle.
6. Business Development:
• Assist in business development efforts by identifying new project opportunities and preparing proposals.
• Participate in networking events and industry conferences to promote the studio's capabilities and achievements.
• Collaborate with the marketing team to showcase completed projects and highlight the studio's expertise.
Mandate Skills and attributes required:
• Strong leadership and team management skills.
• Excellent design and technical proficiency.
• Exceptional project management and organizational abilities.
• Strong communication and presentation skills.
• Proficiency in architectural software such as AutoCAD, Revit, and other relevant tools.
• Knowledge of building codes, standards, and regulations.
• Experience with sustainable design practices is a plus.
