CONTROLLERS
Controllers ensure that the firm meets all the financial control and reporting obligations of a global, regulated and public financial institution. Our professionals measure the profitability of, and risks associated with, every aspect of the firm's business. Controllers also ensure that the firm's activities are conducted in compliance with the regulations governing transactions in the financial markets.

Whether assessing the creditworthiness of the firm's counterparties, monitoring market risks associated with trading activities, or offering analytical and regulatory compliance support, our work contributes directly to the firm's success. BUSINESS UNIT
The Controllers group is responsible for safeguarding the firm's assets: to help maintain the integrity of Goldman Sachs' finances and expenditures. Through careful consideration and analysis of firm finances, objectives and strategies, we ensure that the firm's businesses continue to be profitable and efficiently run. Controllers also ensure that all business practices are in compliance with financial and regulatory requirements worldwide. Since contact with virtually every part of the firm is essential to Controllers, professionals in the department experience Goldman Sachs businesses, products and sophisticated technology systems in depth.
The Investment Accounting team performs the accounting and reporting functions under local as well as USGAAP for the firm's investments in various real estate, loan and private equity portfolios.
RESPONSIBILITIES
· Prepare monthly/quarterly/ annual financial accounts closing for multiple entities as per local and USGAAP requirements and disclosures;
· Provide variance analysis for such FS
· Basic knowledge of US GAAP / IFRS (preferred)
· Manage quarterly Balance sheet substantiation and SOX process
· Support intercompany balances, reconciliations, payments etc
· Coordinate year end audits
· Responsible for cash management, payments and quarterly capital planning process
· Assist in ad hoc requests for financial information of entities assigned
· Review/prepare tax calculations including corporate income tax and Goods and Services Tax
· Liaise with other internal departments within the firm (. tax, legal, treasury, deal teams, middle office) globally in the course of his/ her work.
SKILLS AND RELEVANT EXPERIENCE
· CA/ CPA qualification with strong accounting knowledge
· Basic excel and MS office skills essential
· Accuracy and attention to details
· Candidate must be team oriented and proactive
