We are excited you are considering Duck Creek as a future employer and hope you decide to join “The Flock”To learn more about us, visit and follow us on our social channels for the latest information – and .Title: Content Engineer II- ManagerWHAT YOU’LL DO:The Content Engineer II configures content solutions for P&C core systems processing from moderate to high complexity Agile stories and creates a conceptual design/architecture for configurations solutions using the Duck Creek toolset.Configures content solutions for moderate to high complexity Agile stories independently and across multiple domain or platform areas.
Reads and interprets high complexity rules and requirements from standards organizations like ISO, NCCI, AAIS, etc.
Creates a conceptual design/architecture for medium scale content solutions in collaboration with an architect.
Debugs and resolves high complexity configuration bugs or issues working independently, making sure to find the real root cause and provides a fix without collateral damage.
Writes automated unit and integration-level tests with direction from other team members.
Follows development standards and effectively demonstrate content solutions to other developers in code reviews.
Perform other related duties and activities as required.
WHAT YOU’VE DONEEducation and Work Experience:Bachelor of Science degree; or higher education level, or its foreign equivalent, preferred in Mathematics, Computer Information Sciences or Busines
Total Work Experience: 10 years minimum, 15+ years (software development),
Leadership Experience: 2 years minimum, 4 years preferred
Product Experience: 6 years minimum, 8+ years preferred
Domain Experience: 6 years minimum, 8+ years preferred
Specialized Knowledge, Skills, and/or Abilities:Expert in:
XML/XSLT Document Design
XPath Querying
Insurance Domain Knowledge
Knowledge of Property & Casualty Insurance Lines of Business (Commercial Auto, General Liability, etc.)
Expert in 2 Line of Business, proficient in at least 1 other line
Utilize Content Development Standards & Best Practices
Ability to estimate coding efforts
Knowledge of Relational Database Designs & Queries
Understanding of Agile Methodology
Ability to use and/or configure:EXAMPLE Express®EXAMPLE Server®EXAMPLE Transact®EXAMPLE Author®EXAMPLE Testing Tools and Utilities
Knowledge of Duck Creek Policy or Billing or Claims or Engagement (AP) or Data Insights
Expert in usage of at least one product, aware of the rest
Uses analytical thinking to breakdown and work through situations or problems
Ability to manage time to effectively meet deadlines
Ability to operate independently with minimal guidance
Proficient in:
Technical Writing skills
Source Code ManagementWriting high-performance codeAbility to apply Root Cause Analysis during the development cycleAbility to use and/or configure:EXAMPLE Platform ExtensionsEXAMPLE Platform FeaturesEXAMPLE User Admin™EXAMPLE Forms™Ability to communicate well within a team environment
