We are looking for an experienced Senior Python/Django Developer to design and build scalable backend systems and APIs for high-performance web applications. The ideal candidate has strong expertise in Django, REST APIs, database optimization, and mentoring junior engineers.

Experience: 713 Years
Location: Bangalore (Work from office 2 days/week)
Employment Type: Full-time

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and develop modular, object-oriented backends using Django & Python.
  • Build RESTful APIs with Django REST Framework; optionally integrate GraphQL.
  • Implement authentication/authorization (JWT, OAuth2) and follow security best practices.
  • Design and optimize relational database schemas using Django ORM.
  • Write clean, reusable business logic and service layers.
  • Ensure quality via unit/integration/API tests using Pytest/Django test framework.
  • Work on deployments using Docker, CI/CD (GitHub Actions/Jenkins), and cloud platforms (AWS/GCP).
  • Identify and fix performance bottlenecks; implement caching strategies (Redis/Memcached).
  • Collaborate with frontend teams (React/Vue) or server-side templates (Django/Jinja2).
  • Review code, guide junior developers, and contribute to architecture discussions.

Skills & Qualifications

  • 59 years of hands-on experience in Python & Django.
  • Proficient in building REST APIs; knowledge of GraphQL is a plus.
  • Strong understanding of relational databases (PostgreSQL/MySQL) and query optimization.
  • Experience with Docker, CI/CD pipelines, and cloud platforms (AWS/GCP).
  • Knowledge of caching tools (Redis/Memcached) and profiling/debugging tools.
  • Good understanding of web security (CSRF, XSS, SQL injection prevention).
  • Excellent problem-solving and mentoring skills.
