As part of this portfolio, Pathways delivers high quality enabling education, short courses, and programs which provide alternative entry or credit to facilitate students’ successful entry to university education. About the role The UniPath Coordinator is an academic staff member responsible for overseeing national UniPath programs, including in-school enabling programs and related initiatives, at The University of Notre Dame Australia. This position involves coordinating curriculum development, fostering student engagement, delivering teaching, and ensuring the effective implementation of academic programs in collaboration with Pathways leadership, academic staff, and other key stakeholders. The UniPath Coordinator will play a pivotal role in enhancing program quality, monitoring student progress, and applying innovative teaching strategies to support the success of these programs. Key Responsibilities Oversee UniPath programs, including liaison with course coordinators, high school partners, recruitment and admissions, and relevant University committees. Ensure UniPath programs and courses align with university policies, strategic objectives, and regulatory standards. Monitor and refine curriculum design, assessment, and pedagogy to maintain academic standards and best practice enabling education. Provide academic and pastoral support, identify students at risk, and advise on pathways to further study while fostering student partnership in learning. Represent and promote UniPath programs through university events, materials, and engagement with external stakeholders, including schools and accreditation bodies. Coordinate courses, manage teaching staff, and deliver lectures, tutorials, and assessments as required. Qualifications, skills & experience Doctoral qualification or equivalent accreditation and standing, or significant recognised experience in the relevant discipline. Demonstrated scholarly and professional achievement in the discipline area. Proven teaching experience in enabling programs and, ideally, with senior secondary students. Ability to contribute through research, professional practice, or creative achievement, with experience inside or outside tertiary education considered.
