Responsibilities:
  • Programming developing website coding and producingdatadriven web applications and websites using WordPress andWooCommerce
  • Collaborate with designersdevelopers and project managers on client projects
  • Consult with clients as needed
  • Contribute to the development of the misc. companyspecial projects
  • Manage your own time &development between multiple projects & clients to meetdeliverables
  • Follow and contribute to ourinternal standards
  • Keep up on the latesttrends and best practices in web development
  • Other duties as assigned
Qualifications & Skills:
Frontend:
  • Excellent knowledge of HTML5/XHTML XML AJAXJavaScript/jQuery CSS3
  • Excellent knowledge ofWooCommerce and WordPress
  • Strong understandingand experience with SASS
  • Experience withresponsive design without dependence on frameworks
  • The ability to translate PSDs and other assets created bydesign team into cohesive websites
  • Strongsense of visual design
  • An understanding offrontend optimization techniques
  • Knowledge ofusability / user experience design is a plus
  • Experience maintaining version control usingGit
Backend:
  • Strongexperience with custom WordPress theme development includingaccommodating full user editability complex layouts and pluginsthat require theme customization we dont work with prebuilt themesso it is important to have the ability to create complex setupsfrom scratch
  • Experience creating custom themesfor use with WooCommerce
  • Familiarity withvarious commonplace and proven plugins such as: Advanced CustomFields Gravity Forms The Events Calendar s2MemberBuddyPress
  • Experience with creating customWordPress plugins is a plus
  • Thoroughunderstanding of custom post types and taxonomies
  • Working knowledge of basic PHP and MySQL
  • An understanding of programming security bestpractices
  • Familiarity with issues in webdesign & development and accessibility is a plus
  • Familiarity with using command line tools on Linuxservers is a plus
  • Familiarity with using gitfor source control is a plus
  • Involvement inthe open source community is a plus
