Junior PHP Developer (Fresh Graduate)

Location: Remote (Anywhere in India)

Type: Full-time, Entry Level

Team: Healthcare product team

Roles and Responsibilities

Build and enhance web features in PHP (CodeIgniter 4), convert PDFs into secure web forms, and use AI tools (Cursor, ChatGPT) to accelerate delivery while following healthcare compliance best practices.

What You'll Do

  • Develop backend features in PHP (CI4); write clean, testable code.
  • Build HTML forms with server-side validation and PDF generation/filling.
  • Integrate third-party APIs (messaging, background checks, documents).
  • Use Git/GitHub (branches, PRs, code reviews, issues).
  • Leverage Cursor and ChatGPT for research/scaffolding—always review AI output.
  • Write unit/integration tests; help with CI/CD.
  • Document endpoints, schemas, and runbooks.
  • Handle PHI/PII correctly with access controls and audit logging.

Must-Have Skills

  • Strong PHP fundamentals (OOP, Composer, MVC).
  • CodeIgniter 4 (CI4) knowledge and experience building controllers, models, validation, filters.
  • Basic web stack: MySQL, REST, HTML5, CSS, JavaScript.
  • Git/GitHub workflows (clone, branch, commit, PR, merge).
  • Familiarity with Cursor and ChatGPT for developer productivity.
  • Understanding of sessions, auth, and validation in PHP frameworks.
  • Clear communication and eagerness to learn.

Nice to Have

  • PDF libs (FPDI/mPDF/DOMPDF) or AcroForm tooling.
  • Frontend (Bootstrap/Tailwind) and Axios/Fetch.
  • Testing (PHPUnit), linting, basic Docker.
  • Awareness of HIPAA/Medicaid data-handling basics.

· PHP 8+, CI4, MySQL, GitHub, Cursor, ChatGPT, FPDI/mPDF, Postman, Docker (basic), Jira/Linear, Slack.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹15, ₹25,000.00 per month
