The successful candidate will have a strong background in data engineering, reporting, and cybersecurity analytics. You will design, construct, and maintain data pipelines for collecting, storing, processing, and analyzing security-related data from various sources, including logs, monitoring tools, incident reports, and assessments.

You will be responsible for:

  • Data Collection & Analysis:
    • Design and develop data pipelines using Azure services such as Azure Analysis Services, Azure Data Bricks, Cosmos DB, Azure Synapse, and Azure Data Lake.
    • Gather data from multiple sources and clean, filter, aggregate, and join datasets to ensure they are in a suitable format for analysis.
    • Identify patterns, trends, and anomalies that may indicate potential security threats using statistical methods and data visualization techniques.
    • Ensure data integrity and accuracy through regular quality checks and troubleshooting.
  • Reporting & Visualization:
    • Develop and maintain Power BI dashboards and reports using Power BI Desktop, Power Query Editor/DAX, and Power BI Report Builder.
    • Create insightful visualizations to effectively present findings to stakeholders.
    • Work with stakeholders to define reporting requirements and deliver customized insights.
  • Automation & Optimization:
    • Develop and maintain ETL processes to automate data extraction, transformation, and loading.
    • Optimize query performance and database indexing to improve report efficiency.
    • Implement automated reporting schedules and event-driven triggers.
  • Data Modeling & Advanced Analytics:
    • Design and implement data models and schema structures to support reporting needs.
    • Perform exploratory data analysis (EDA) to uncover security trends and risk patterns.
    • Collaborate with data scientists to develop advanced analytical models and predictive insights.
  • Continuous Monitoring & Process Improvement:
    • Stay up to date with the latest technologies, tools, and trends in reporting, analytics, and cybersecurity.
    • Evaluate and recommend improvements to enhance efficiency and effectiveness of reporting processes.

Required Qualifications & Skills:

We are looking for a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual with the following qualifications and skills:

Technical Skills:

  • 3+ years of experience in data engineering, reporting, or cybersecurity analytics.
  • Proficiency in Power BI (Report Builder, Desktop, DAX, Power Query, Data Connectors, Dashboard Creation).
  • Strong expertise in Azure services (Azure Analysis Services, Azure Data Bricks, Cosmos DB, Azure Synapse, Azure Data Lake).
  • Proficiency in Python, SQL, PowerShell, and familiarity with APIs.
  • Understanding of database fundamentals, including multidimensional database design and ingesting data from APIs into Azure.

Soft Skills & Other Competencies:

We value individuals with excellent communication skills, able to present technical insights to stakeholders, and a strong ability to lead and collaborate across cross-functional teams in a global environment. Industry certifications such as Certified Analytics Professional, Microsoft Certified in Power BI, or Microsoft Office Specialist (MOS) Certification are a plus.
