BIM Drafter

Role & responsibilities

• Develop detailed 2D and 3D models of dams, hydropower plants, tunnels, penstocks, spillways, and other hydraulic structures using BIM tools.
• Prepare design drawings, general arrangement drawings (GADs), construction drawings, and reinforcement detailing using Revit, AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and Navisworks.
• Collaborate with structural, hydraulic, geotechnical, and electromechanical teams for coordinated BIM modeling and clash detection.
• Maintain and update BIM models throughout various design stages (Concept, Detailed Engineering, As-built).
• Follow project-specific BIM Execution Plans (BEP) and ensure model/drawing compliance with applicable standards and naming conventions.
• Perform quantity take-offs, generate BOMs and BBS using BIM models.
• Coordinate with international and multidisciplinary teams for BIM collaboration and data exchange via CDE platforms.
• Participate in design reviews, clash coordination meetings, and incorporate feedback from engineering leads.
• Support the development of visualizations, construction sequencing (4D), and quantity simulations (5D), as required.
