Role Summary
We are seeking a proactive and skilled IT Software & Hardware Maintenance Executive to manage and support the organization's IT infrastructure. The role involves maintaining hardware systems, troubleshooting software issues, ensuring data security, and providing end-user support to enable smooth day-to-day operations across the company.
Key Responsibilities
1. Hardware Maintenance & Support
- Install, configure, and maintain desktops, laptops, printers, scanners, servers, and IT equipment.
- Perform preventive maintenance and troubleshoot hardware failures.
- Manage and track IT hardware inventory/assets.
2. Software Maintenance & Support
- Install, configure, and upgrade operating systems and application software.
- Troubleshoot and resolve user-level software issues.
- Coordinate with vendors for software updates, renewals, and license compliance.
3. Network & Security Management
- Monitor LAN, WAN, and Wi-Fi connectivity; troubleshoot connectivity issues.
- Ensure data security, antivirus updates, and firewall monitoring.
- Support backup management and disaster recovery processes.
4. User & System Support
- Provide first-level IT support to employees across departments.
- Set up new user accounts, email IDs, and access rights.
- Document recurring issues and prepare MIS reports for IT management.
5. Vendor Coordination
- Liaise with vendors for AMC (Annual Maintenance Contract) support.
- Coordinate procurement of IT hardware/software based on requirements.
Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelor's Degree / Diploma in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field.
- 2–4 years of experience in IT support, hardware & software maintenance.
- Strong knowledge of Windows/Linux OS, MS Office, Outlook, and networking basics .
- Hands-on experience with hardware troubleshooting & software installations .
- Knowledge of IT security practices and backup solutions .
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and coordination skills .
Preferred Certifications (Optional)
- CompTIA A+ / N+
- Microsoft Certified IT Professional (MCITP) / MCSA
- CCNA (for networking support)
