Join our dynamic Energy team and lead the design of transmission line projects, including PLS-CADD modelling and structural design, for a diverse range of internal and external stakeholders. We bring expertise across solar, wind, hydropower, thermal energy, waste-to-energy and bioenergy, battery storage, network distribution, and systems and automation. What you’ll do as a Senior/Associate Transmission Lines Engineer: Deliver innovative solutions in the overhead transmission and distribution market, with additional support for the generation and industrial HV sectors. Lead transmission line design projects, demonstrating strong industry experience and project leadership. Apply in-depth knowledge of Australian and international standards related to overhead transmission line design, testing, and commissioning. Utilise PLS-CADD software, including TOWER and POLE modules, with proficiency. Understand the full lifecycle of transmission lines—from planning and design through to construction, operation, and maintenance. Mentor and guide junior team members, fostering technical growth and collaboration. Build and maintain strong client relationships to identify and secure new opportunities. Provide technical support to client operations, recommending improvements, upgrades, and promoting innovation, safety, and sustainability. Adhere to all Safety, Health, Environment and Quality (SHEQ) requirements specific to the role. Take ownership of your career development through regular Thrive conversations and goal setting. Maintain confidentiality and uphold professional standards at all times. About You Degree-qualified in Electrical, Civil, Structural, or Mechanical Engineering. Demonstrated professional experience in a technical delivery role as a consultant. Design Management an advantage. Have strong electrical and/or structural engineering competencies in Transmission Lines. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across all levels of the organisation and with external stakeholders. Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail. Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and engineering software tools. Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines. Commercial acumen and a mature understanding of business drivers. Client-focused mindset with a proactive and solution-oriented approach.
