About The Role:

We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Engineer specializing in Fired Equipment design and coordination.

The candidate will oversee all technical engineering aspects for fired equipment, from structural calculations and detailed drawings to coordination across engineering teams and project management. Key responsibilities include ensuring all design and engineering activities meet project specifications, standards, and schedules, with a focus on cross-discipline integration, client coordination, and adherence to industry standards (e.g., ASME).

Key Responsibilities:

Engineering Design & Coordination:

- Proficient in structural and pressure part design for fired equipment.- Expertise in STAAD Pro, Tekla, and 2D/3D drawing review, including bill of materials generation.- Manage and review detailed drawings and models for components like expansion joints, burners, fans, and pressure vessels.

Technical Calculations & Compliance:

- Conduct calculations for pressure vessels, heat exchangers, and other equipment per ASME standards.- Ensure technical accuracy in shell, nozzle, saddle, and lifting point designs.

Material Requisition & Procurement:

- Prepare and approve requisitions for critical materials and components, ensuring they meet project standards.- Collaborate with the procurement team on technical specifications and vendor documentation.

Project Coordination & Communication:

- Coordinate with Piping, Instrumentation, and Process teams to ensure integration of designs across disciplines.- Maintain communication with clients, suppliers, and internal project teams for project planning and control.

Documentation Management:

- Oversee the creation, management, and approval of technical documentation, deliverables, and compliance with project schedules.- Ensure proper use of ERP systems for documentation tracking and approval cycles.

Meetings & Technical Support:

- Lead engineering and client/supplier meetings, contributing to design reviews, construction phases, and technical inspections.- Provide technical support for sales proposals and client requirements.

Reporting & Performance Monitoring:

- Report progress, performance, and time deviations to Project Managers and senior management.- Oversee internal resource planning and control, document management, and compliance monitoring.

About Your profile:

- Master or bachelor’s degree in mechanical / Structural / Civil Engineering Bachelor (degree), preferably Mechanical.- Minimum 8 years’ experience in similar functions with Firing Equipment (Fired Heaters, Furnaces, Reformers, WHRU, Stacks, Pipe Racks, Incinerator packages, RTO´s, Pressure Vessels).- Experience in companies providing engineering services to the Oil and Gas, Chemical, Refining or Petrochemical Industry.- Experience at workshop and site activities. Willing to locally assist workshop and site activities if required.- Proficiency level with following software is a must: AUTOCAD, Staad PRO, TEKLA Structures, Navisworks & Microsoft package. Knowledge about following programs will be highly appreciated: Solid Works, Solid Edge, CAESAR II, PV Elite, AVEVA E3D, Nozzle Pro.- Proficiency level with following codes for steel structures: ASME 7-05, ASME 7-10, ASME 7-16, AISC, UBC-97, IBC, ASME STS-01, ASME B30.20, ASME BTH-1, EUROCOCE 3, EN 13155, IS 6533, IS 800,...- Proficiency level with following codes for firing equipment and pressure vessels: ASME I, ASME III, ASME VIII, ASME IX, API 560, API 530, Dennis Moss (pressure vessel manual), IBR, IS 2825, BS 5500…- Professional English level.- Ability to communicate (both verbally and literately), improvise, be flexible, handle friction, handle stress.- Willingness and readiness to travel for business purposes, domestically and internationally.
