Key Responsibilities and Duties:Analyse new requirements and provide impact analysis addressing technical design and identifying individual tasksDesign and coding of new facilitiesCommunication of technical details that impact fulfilment of requirementsIterative development of software with responsiveness to constructive feedbackProvide 3rd line application support against agreed service levels including the implementation of bug fixesDevelop and maintain code to a high standard within IT development and maintenance projectsEffectively using static code analysis tools to write high standard codeTroubleshoot and problem-solve support issues as they arise and as directed by the CIVICA project manager and Technical architectCode reviews of the work of peers in the groupDesign software components by adhering to design patterns (factory, CQRS, singleton, repository, etc.)Design software by following Test driven development approachWrite documentation and comment code as requiredEnsure code is properly version controlledComply with corporate test processes and ISO 9001 Quality Management SystemSupervise and mentor junior staff

Essential Competencies:Must have minimum 4+ years of relevant experienceGood in oral and written communication skills and able to take part in meetings and discussionsProactive personality and able to work autonomouslyGood team playerThe ability to work to agreed deadlinesShould be a detailed orientedAbility to work at detailed and abstract levelsAbility to guide junior team membersSelf-learnerTrack record of delivering commitments on time and qualityGood leadership quality
