Company Overview
We are Ability Access, a very early-stage startup based in India with a mission to improve the lives of individuals with disabilities. We aim to build a platform that offers personalised daily assistance services, including personal care, mobility assistance, and vocational support through a seamless tech-driven model. Our focus is on creating a scalable, tech-first solution that empowers millions of people in need of support.
As we prepare for the development of our MVP, we are looking for a Co-founder - Technology to join our journey and help us turn this vision into reality. This is a ground-floor opportunity for someone who is passionate about using technology to drive social impact.
Role Overview
As the Co-founder, you will be responsible for shaping the overall tech strategy and building a scalable, secure platform from scratch. You will play a pivotal role in product development, managing the tech team, and ensuring that our platform can handle high volumes of users and services.
This role is equity-based for now, with the possibility of compensation as we secure further funding.
What You’ll Do
Tech Strategy & Roadmap: Define and implement the technology vision for the platform in alignment with the business strategy.
Platform Development: Lead the development of our mobile application and web platform, ensuring user-friendly design and robust functionality.
Team Leadership: Assemble, mentor, and lead a high-performing tech team to develop and maintain the product.
Scaling & Optimization: Build a scalable infrastructure to support a growing user base, ensuring system reliability and security.
Collaboration: Work closely with the co-founders and stakeholders to create a seamless service that matches the needs of individuals with disabilities.
What We’re Looking For
Strong Technical Expertise
Proven experience in software development, particularly in building scalable mobile and web platforms (React Native, Python, Node.js, etc.).
Experience with cloud computing services (AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure).
Knowledge of database architecture, backend systems, and data security best practices.
Understanding of UI/UX best practices, with an emphasis on accessibility features.
Leadership Skills
Experience in leading and scaling tech teams.
Ability to work in a startup environment with limited resources and high uncertainty.
Problem-Solving Attitude
A passion for solving real-world problems with technology and a keen interest in social impact.
Entrepreneurial Mindset
Willingness to wear multiple hats and take on a variety of responsibilities.
Bonus Skills
Experience in building a platform for healthcare, disability support, or similar industries.
Familiarity with AI/ML for personalized service delivery.
