Azure Storage is growing its development team focused on providing the world's lowest cost cloud-based storage. Azure Archive Storage service provides secure, low-cost, and energy efficient storage capable of preserving Exabytes of data for decades with the right balance between software and hardware interaction. Qualifications

Required Qualifications:Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 4+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or PythonOR equivalent experience.2+ years of experience in developing products and services, preferably in systems and backend.Other Qualifications:Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include, but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings: Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud Background Check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.Preferred Qualifications:Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 4+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or PythonOR Master's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 2+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or PythonOR equivalent experience.Experience in designing and building large scale distributed systems,AND multi-threaded/parallel programming.Ability to troubleshoot/debug and resolve complex production service issues at scale.Software engineering practices, coding and a foundation in data structures, algorithms with strong testing, debugging and analytical skills.#azurecorejobs #AzStorageIDC

Responsibilities

In this role, you will influence design, write new code, and gain experience building and delivering a cloud service with many new algorithmic and scalability challenges.You will have an opportunity to make high impact contributions as you build a hyperscale storage system used daily by millions around the globe.Works with appropriate stakeholders to determine user requirements for a feature.Supports identification of dependencies, and the development of design documents for a product feature with oversight.With guidance, learns to create and implement code for a product, service, or feature reusing code as applicable.Assists and learns about breaking down work items into tasks and provides estimation.Acts as a Designated Responsible Individual (DRI) in monitoring system/product feature/service for degradation, downtime, or interruptions for simple problems, and recommends actions to restore system/product/service by following the playbook.Reviews current developments and proactively seeks new knowledge that will improve the availability, reliability, efficiency, observability, and performance of products while also driving consistency in monitoring and operations at scale.Benefits/perks listed below may vary depending on the nature of your employment with Microsoft and the country where you work.Industry leading healthcareEducational resourcesDiscounts on products and servicesSavings and investmentsMaternity and paternity leaveGenerous time awayGiving programsOpportunities to network and connect
