Skills and qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related fieldMinimum of 3 years of experience in manual testing of web and mobile applicationsExperience with regression testing methodologies and tools, such as automated regression testing frameworks like Selenium or AppiumKnowledge of QA methodologies, such as Agile or Waterfall, and experience working in a software development environment that follows these methodologiesFamiliarity with software testing standards and practicesUnderstanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and experience working with software development teamsExperience with version control systems such as Git, and knowledge of continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) processesFamiliarity with defect tracking tools such as JIRA or BugzillaAbility to prioritize tasks and manage time effectivelyKnowledge of load testing and security testing methodologiesExperience with automation testing using testing frameworks such as Selenium, Appium, etc.Excellent problem-solving and analytical skillsStrong attention to detailStrong communication skills, both written and verbalAbility to work independently and as part of a teamStrong knowledge of software QA methodologies, tools and processes.

Roles and responsibilities

Develop and execute regression test suites to ensure that new features or bug fixes do not cause unintended consequences or regression issuesCollaborate with development teams to ensure that regression test suites are updated and maintained as the application evolvesAnalyze test results and provide detailed reports to development teams to help them identify and fix issuesParticipate in code reviews and provide feedback on code changes to ensure that they meet quality standards and do not introduce new defectsIdentify areas for process improvement and work with the team to implement changes that improve testing efficiency and effectivenessPerform manual testing of web and mobile applications, including functional testing, regression testing, and performance testingCreate and maintain test documentation, including test plans, test cases, and test reportsIdentify, document, and track defects and issues found during testingConduct load testing and security testing to ensure the performance and security of the applicationContinuously evaluate and improve the testing process to ensure maximum efficiency and effectivenessStay up-to-date with the latest testing tools and techniques, and make recommendations for improvements to the testing process
