Job Description

Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive compliance policies and procedures in line with regulatory requirements and industry best practices. Monitor and ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and internal policies across all business operations. Conduct regular compliance audits and risk assessments to identify potential areas of improvement and ensure effective compliance controls. Collaborate with senior management to develop and communicate compliance strategies and objectives. Provide guidance and support to business units on compliance-related matters, including regulatory changes and their impact on operations. Lead and manage the compliance team, including recruitment, training, and performance management. Act as the primary liaison with regulatory authorities, ensuring timely and accurate submission of reports and addressing any regulatory inquiries. Develop and deliver compliance training programs to enhance awareness and understanding of compliance issues among employees. Investigate and resolve compliance-related issues, including handling internal investigations and disciplinary actions as necessary. Stay abreast of changes in regulatory requirements and industry trends to ensure the company's compliance framework remains current and effective.

The Successful Applicant

6-12 years of experience in a compliance role within mid-scale NBFCs, with a proven track record of managing compliance functions effectively. Strong understanding of Indian financial regulations, including those related to NBFCs, and a thorough knowledge of industry standards and best practices. Excellent analytical skills with the ability to identify and address compliance risks and issues. Proven leadership abilities with experience in managing and developing teams. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with senior management, regulators, and other stakeholders. High level of integrity and professionalism, with a commitment to maintaining confidentiality and ethical standards.
