Meet the Team:

We are establishing a new IT leadership team in Hyderabad. The global IT team plays a critical role in the implementation and support of key technology and infrastructure platforms that enable the corporation and product delivery.

IT team is responsible for delivering end user services, corporate applications and infrastructure services for the enterprise. The team consists of employees and key vendor partners that collaborate actively. IT team works closely with business stakeholders and R&D engineers to define, design and deliver technical solutions.

The Role:

As the Infrastructure Services IT Director, you will lead a team of highly skilled technology professionals focused on modernizing and scaling the infrastructure backbone for Silicon Labs. This position is responsible for the strategy, implementation, security, and management of Silicon Lab's global mission-critical infrastructure in a 24/7/365 environment. A key focus will be your ability to manage a high-performance team that can be a value-add partner to R&D engineers and operate with a high sense of urgency, accountability and ensure compliance and security.

Your responsibilities will include:

Work closely with cross-functional leaders across IT and R&D to define short/long term strategy and effectively execute roadmaps for enterprise infrastructure services.

Hire and direct a team of diverse and innovative talent focused on delivering infrastructure as a service, network engineering and cloud platform management.

Provide technical leadership and spearhead all aspects of infrastructure service delivery including physical and virtual server environments, network engineering, data center operations and enterprise messaging and collaboration platform (M365) and identity management platform (Active Directory).

Balance enterprise security and regulatory compliance with speed for execution and business enablement. Partner with SecOps to define and manage the company’s cybersecurity posture, ensuring that key threats and risks are understood, and appropriate countermeasures are in place.

Establish Management reporting and consolidated dashboards of SOX/ISO 27001 compliance, and portfolios / programs status updates including KPIs and Operational updates for executive management.

Be accountable for SOX and ISO compliance for platforms and processes deemed to be in scope.

Lead by example, mentor, coach and motivate the team, delegate effectively, celebrate diversity within the team, and manage performance; be widely viewed as a strong developer of others.

Be an integral part of the leadership team that will uphold Silicon Labs vision and values.

Minimum Qualifications:

Minimum of bachelor’s in engineering or master’s in computer science from recognized college or university;

- 15+ years of IT experience with infrastructure services and solution delivery.

- 10+ years of progressive global leadership experience with a proven track record of leading technical teams in delivering high quality infrastructure services in a high-tech engineering environment.

- In-depth knowledge of infrastructure and network as code, data center operations and enterprise architecture.

- Strong problem-solving skills for addressing technical and organizational challenges that may arise. Deep experience in making critical decisions, often under pressure.

- Relationship building with internal partners, vendors, and other stakeholders. - Tolerant of ambiguity, able to function comfortably, patiently, and effectively in an uncertain and ever-changing environment.

- Exercise independent judgment and demonstrate a high degree of initiative with minimal direct supervision.

- Strong background in project delivery, IT Ops and change management across multiple technical competencies and engineering functions.

- Knowledge and experience in infrastructure platforms like vSphere, Fortinet, Arista and in LAN/WAN/Firewall management.

- Excellent written, spoken and executive communication skills.

The following qualifications will be considered a plus:

- Exposure to cloud infrastructure platforms like Azure and AWS

- Experience with outsourcing and managing vendors for software and services

- Experience in use of modern collaboration tools (Confluence, JIRA, MS Project, etc).

- Experience with infrastructure modernization program execution and tech debt elimination

- Proven ability to work with cross-functional teams in different locations across the globe.
