Job Description

Position Objective: 

This position offers the candidate an opportunity to decode and communicate complex problems across multiple domains at a fast-growing, mission-driven company. It also provides the opportunity to build a growing team that is changing the face of rural electrification across Asia and Africa. Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Global, regional and national public relations
  • External communications, including media relations, and stakeholder engagement
  • Internal communications, including employee engagement and corporate collateral
  • Social media oversight, including platform and paid media strategy
  • Executive and corporate visibility and brand recognition (speaking, events, awards, etc)
  • Development of creative, audience-relevant, search-optimized digital content
  • Integration of new technologies into communications mix
  • Email marketing design and management
  • Website management, including CMS
  • External agency recruitment and management
  • Establishment of measurement KPIs and ongoing tracking

Requirements:

  • 5-8 years of in-house and/or corporate marketing experience (including digital and social)
  • Proven track record of corporate marketing and communications accomplishments/high impact results (based on clear metrics)
  • Clear demonstration of excellent verbal and written communications, content creation and storytelling skills, for both internal and external audience
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced and dynamic environment with a high level of autonomy
  • Demonstrated ability to organize, manage and prioritize multiple deliverables
  • Design expertise (ie Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, etc)
  • Hands-on experience with social media tools (ie Buffer, Hootsuite, Trello, etc), CMS platforms (ie Framer) and Google tools (analytics, ads, etc).
  • English fluency

Desirable:

  • Knowledge of Sub-Saharan African and/or South Asian markets
  • Experience in energy/climate, rural development sector
  • Francophone

Qualifications

Education:  

  • Bachelor’s degree is required
  • MBA in Marketing or a PG in Mass Communication is preferred
