The Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated QA Manager to lead a team of engineers. In this role, you will not only oversee managing a dedicated QA team but also own and drive end to end qualifications of multiple releases. As the QA manager, you would be responsible for all aspects of Quality Assurance at Nutanix, from setting up test strategies and processes to managing qualification of all product releases to building a world class QA team.  Engineering / R&D at Nutanix Nutanix's Product Integration, Patch Line team is a dynamic group of 35 individuals located across various geographies. This team plays a crucial role in ensuring seamless integration of new products and patches into our platform. While there are no specific successes to mention, the uniqueness of this team lies in its collaborative nature and focus on continuous innovation. Join us in shaping the future of IT infrastructure at Nutanix  Your Role Develop a deep understanding of the product, both from a customer’s perspective and its underlying technical principles and architecture Work with geographically diverse cross functional teams to define and implement the overall product’s testing strategy and processes Manage the qualification of all our product releases Be the voice of quality at the company and champion an atmosphere of continuous improvement with a metrics driven culture Be a strong advocate for Quality best practices and help the company incorporate them with rigor Manage the QA team which comprises 15+ QA engineers currently and help employees grow through career development, coaching, and mentoring while guiding senior engineers to maximize their potential. You'll provide a clear path for progression through personal development plans, defining goals, perform evaluations, and collaborate with employees on their objectives; retain top talent Implement multiple checks and balances within the team to ensure quality high productive work is being performed while averting the risk of burnout via efficient time management Hire, mentor, and manage a high-performing QA team.  Encourage learning and skill developments within the team.   What You Will Bring A BE or MS in Computer Science or related stream is required. Minimum of 8-10 years of relevant industry experience, of which 2+ years is in QA Management Proven experience in a QA leader role preferably in Storage / Backup , Virtualization areas. Experience in leading technical QA teams for features in distributed systems. Experience in designing complex Test Plans and Automation Plans. Good exposure to Automation development in Python. Ability to debug complex issues and root cause failures. Experience with Core Storage, Virtualisation, File Systems, Block/Object Storage, Disaster Recovery & Backup is desired. Good understanding of Linux Systems and virtualization technologies such as VMware, Hyper-V, KVM. Excellent collaboration and communication skills with development, product management and cross functional teams.   About the Team About Your Manager:You'll be reporting to our Director of Engineering, who has been with Nutanix for about 8 years.
