About this role

:Network Security team is looking for an Lead Information Security Engineer at Hyderabad location to provide security engineering for inbound Web Applications and API's using Web Application Firewall(WAF), Web app and API protection(WAAP), Web Application and API Security solution

s.The Lead Information Security Engineer will deploy, manage, and support enterprise WAF and WAAP deployments in alignment with enterprise change management policies and procedures. This will include on-prem and cloud-based instances. Additional responsibilities will include participation in related control execution and periodic assignment to the team on-call rotati

- ion:Serves as a high level technical security resource on large-scale network and/or systems/applications is- sues.Serves as technical lead responsible for specific areas of computer security incident response activities to include cyber threat and development/implementation of vulnerability mitigation strate- gies.Responsible for staging/configuration of network security products and implementations by following strict change management guidel- ines.Mentor other security engineers at analysis or implementation work as ne- eded.Leads in the research, analysis, design, testing and implementation of complex computer network security/protection technologies for company information and network systems/applicat- ions.Participates in the evaluation of vendor proposals, new and existing security designs, and emerging security technologies and sys- tems.Utilize subject matter knowledge in industry leading security solutions and best practices to implement one or more components of information security such as availability, integrity, confidentiality, risk management, threat identification, modeling, monitoring, incident response, access management, and bus- inessEngineers and maintains the on-prem and cloud-based security perimeter for inbound Web Applications and A- PI's.Deploy, manage, and support the Akamai Kona Site Defe- nder.Deploy, manage, and support the enterprise Web Application Firewall (WAF), and Web app and API protection (WAAP) deployments – Akamai/Cloudflare/Imperv- a/F5.Deploy, manage, and support the Web Application and API Security solut- ions.Demonstrated enterprise experience in change management pro- cess.Strong working knowledge of providing/understanding network security documenta- tion.Experience at on-call support for network security related is- sues.Hands-on experience on Splunk and SIEM t- ools.Collaborate and influence all levels of professionals including mana- gers.Identify security vulnerabilities and issues, perform risk assessments, and evaluate remediation alternat- ives.Responsible for staging/configuration of network security products and implementations by following strict change management guidel- ines.Assist other security engineers at analysis or implementation work as ne- eded.Participates in the research, analysis, design, testing and implementation of complex computer network security/protection technologies for company information and network systems/applicat- ions.Participates in the evaluation of vendor proposals, new and existing security designs, and emerging security technologies and sys- tems.Periodic assignment to the team on-call rota

tion.Required Qualifica

- tions:Minimum 12 years of experience working in the network security pr- oducts.Expert knowledge and hands-on experience on Akamai Kona Site De- fender.Expert knowledge and hands-on experience on Web Application Firewall (WAF), and Web app and API protection (WAAP) solutions – Akamai/Cloudflare/Impe- rva/F5.Expert knowledge and hands-on experience on Web Application and API Security solutions – Akamai/Clou- dflare.3+ years of Information Security Engineering expe- rience.3+ years of in-depth knowledge and troubleshooting of HTTP based Web Applic- ations.3+ years knowledge and understanding of implementing WAF signatures or virtual p- atches.2+ years of Intermediate to Advanced level experience with scripting/automation using tools such as: Bash, Ansible Playbook/Role Development, PowerShell, Pytho- n, etc.2+ years advanced understanding of Network concepts like DNS, Firewall and Load Bal- ancing.Proven experience with change and incident management practices in medium to large enterprise enviro- nments.Experience with Agile Scrum or Kanban methodo- logies.Basic understanding of TLS, Certificates, an- d MTLS.Minimum of the CISSP/ BIG-IP ASM Specialist or higher is
