BIM Cordinator

Position Overview:
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Sr. BIM Coordinator to lead our efforts in developing and executing effective strategies. The Senior BIM Coordinator is responsible for the development, implementation, and management of BIM models across various projects. This role involves coordinating between different disciplines (e.g., architecture, structure, MEP) to ensure model integrity and accuracy. The Senior BIM Coordinator also acts as a key liaison between project teams, ensuring that BIM standards are adhered to and that all model-related issues are resolved in a timely manner.
Brief synopsis of your role and responsibility:
BIM Implementation : Develop and enforce BIM standards and protocols. Ensure that the BIM execution plan is followed throughout the project lifecycle.
Coordination and Collaboration : Work closely with architects, engineers, and contractors to ensure that the BIM models are accurate and integrated. Resolve any conflicts or discrepancies between different discipline models.
Model Management : Oversee the creation, maintenance, and updating of BIM models. Ensure that all models are up-to-date and reflect the current design and construction status.
Quality Control : Review and validate BIM models for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with project requirements and standards.
Training and Support : Provide training and support to team members on BIM tools, processes, and best practices. Troubleshoot and resolve any BIM-related issues.
Documentation and Reporting : Prepare reports and documentation related to BIM processes and model status. Maintain records of BIM activities and changes.
Software Management : Manage and optimize the use of BIM software and tools. Stay updated on the latest BIM technologies and advancements.
Collaboration with Stakeholders : Act as a liaison between different project stakeholders to ensure that BIM objectives are met and that everyone is aligned with the project goals.
Qualifications required:
Education : Bachelor’s degree in architecture, engineering, construction management, or a related field.
Experience : 5+ years of experience in BIM coordination, with a strong background in the construction or design industry.
Knowledge : In-depth knowledge of BIM standards, workflows, and industry best practices. Familiarity with various project delivery methods and construction documentation.
Communication : Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams.
Problem-Solving : Excellent problem-solving abilities, with a keen eye for detail and the ability to manage complex models.
Preferred Skills:
Proficiency in BIM software such as Revit, Navisworks, AutoCAD, and other related tools. Experience with clash detection and coordination.
