Supply Chain Lead

Title: Lead Specialist – SCM Location: Mysore, Karnataka Employment Type: Full-time Experience: 5–10 years of experience in supply chain or procurement operations within automotive, EV, EMS, or electronics manufacturing Position Overview: The Lead Specialist – SCM is responsible for ensuring uninterrupted material availability, timely EMS coordination, and efficient supply chain operations at our Mysore plant. This role drives procurement execution, supplier performance, forecasting alignment, inventory control, and working capital optimization to support smooth production and scale. The position requires strong ownership, hands-on execution, and the ability to build a reliable and cost-efficient supply ecosystem aligned with C Electric’s growth plans. Skills Required: Procurement Execution & Vendor Coordination: Ability to manage PO cycles, supplier follow-ups, delivery commitments, and communication. Team Management & Leadership: Experience in supervising team members, delegating responsibilities, driving accountability, and improving team productivity. Inventory & Kitting Control: Proficiency in warehouse operations, cycle counting, material staging, physical stock reconciliation, and JIT execution. EMS & Job-Work Execution: Hands-on experience managing outsourced manufacturing partners with structured tracking and delivery commitments. Planning & Forecast Alignment: Ability to convert production plans into actionable procurement priorities and follow-ups. Supplier Performance Governance (QCDS): Ability to track delivery performance, rejection handling, service levels, and escalation management. Working Capital Awareness: Capability to control overstocking, avoid dead stock, and balance availability with cash efficiency. Logistics Knowledge: Familiarity with domestic transport planning, shipment tracking, and delivery documentation handling. ERP Proficiency: Strong command of ERP workflows, inventory accuracy, PO tracking dashboards, and data discipline. Problem-Solving & Escalation Discipline: Ability to anticipate risks early and raise alerts before production impact. Hands-on background working with EMS partners, job-work vendors, and multi-stage assembly supply chains Job Responsibilities: Lead the SCM and Stores team with clear task delegation, performance monitoring, accountability, and ongoing capability development. Ensure uninterrupted material availability for production through disciplined planning, tracking, and coordination. Manage EMS and job-work partners to ensure timely manufacturing, dispatch, and delivery of assemblies and sub-assemblies aligned to production schedules. Maintain accurate inventory governance including kitting, staging, GRN, stock movement, and full ERP-based traceability. Implement supplier performance governance using QCDS metrics and drive corrective and preventive actions where required. Align procurement activities with rolling forecasts and production plans to prevent shortages, delays, and excess inventory. Optimize working capital through efficient inventory levels, cost-aware procurement planning, and aligned supplier payment terms. Oversee logistics, inbound/outbound dispatch, and freight coordination to ensure timely deliveries at the most cost-effective levels. Maintain accurate ERP data, dashboards, and procurement reports to ensure supply visibility and data-driven decision-making. Proactively identify and resolve supply bottlenecks and build a predictable, stable material flow to support production continuity. Collaborate closely with Production, Finance, and Quality teams to ensure supply chain readiness supports operational targets and business priorities Education qualification: Degree in Electronics engineering, Electrical engineering, Computer engineering, or Mechanical engineering.
