Technical/Functional SkillsStrong domain knowledge of higher education processes across Admissions, Registration, Academic History, Financial Aid, Student Accounts, and General Student (may not necessarily have all)Functional expertise in Ellucian Banner (or similar SIS/ERP ) modules (example: Banner Student, Banner Financial Aid, Banner Accounts Receivable)Hands-on experience with Ethos (or similar) integration , Banner Admin Pages (INB/Banner 9), and Self-Service componentsUnderstanding of SIS data models related to student recordsAbility to write functional specifications, map business processes to Banner functionality, and validate outcomesFamiliarity with student lifecycle workflows and academic policy implementation within SISKnowledge of SQL for querying Banner tables and validating data for testing or reporting (good to have)Understanding of compliance and regulatory requirements in higher education (e.g., Title IV for Financial Aid)Experience with testing tools and methods for system upgrades and patch deploymentsExperience Required5–10 years of overall experience in higher education domain with at least 3–5 years in Ellucian Banner SIS implementations or supportPrior involvement in at least one end-to-end Banner implementation, upgrade, or cloud migration project (good to have)Demonstrated experience working with cross-functional teams during discovery, design and deployment phases , including technical leads, business users, and project managersExposure to working in Agile or hybrid delivery modelsExperience in client-facing roles for North American higher education institutions preferredRoles & ResponsibilitiesEngage with institutional stakeholders to gather, analyze, and validate business requirements for Banner SIS modulesConduct fit-gap analysis, process mapping, and configuration of Banner modules such as Admissions, Registration, or Financial AidCollaborate with technical teams to translate functional requirements into technical specificationsSupport data migration validation, testing cycles (SIT, UAT), and production rollout activitiesProvide functional consulting during Ellucian upgrades, enhancements, or new module deploymentsTroubleshoot functional issues and guide clients on best practices aligned with Banner capabilitiesDeliver training, create user documentation, and contribute to knowledge transfer sessions for institutional staffAct as a subject matter expert and support pre-sales or proposal activities as required.Location: Delhi/Indore/Bangalore/Mumbai/Kolkata/Pune
