Your Role

As a Full-Stack Engineer, you'll work directly with the Head of Engineering, fellow engineers, and cross-functional teams to build scalable, AI-driven solutions. You'll help create a platform that simplifies asset development—from land control to permitting and interconnection.

What You'll Do

First 30 Days: Onboarding & Foundation

  • Complete comprehensive onboarding with the tech stack: JavaScript/TypeScript, Next.js, Nest.js, Mongoose, and MongoDB
  • Program with team members to understand the codebase architecture
  • Complete at least one small feature or bug fix to understand the Dev. Ops. pipeline
  • Become familiar with our LLM pipelines and patterns

30-90 Days: Building Momentum

  • Own and deliver significant features
  • Begin contributing to API design for data-intensive applications
  • Start implementing automated testing practices using Jest and Cypress/Playwright
  • Integrate vector databases and retrieval-augmented AI models to boost land prospecting, risk assessment, and interconnection intelligence
  • Work with geospatial data APIs, map overlays, and regulatory tracking tools to simplify renewable energy development
  • Suggest DevOps improvements (GitHub, Vercel, Render).

90-180 Days: Deepening Impact

  • Lead development of complex features
  • Optimize application performance by identifying and addressing bottlenecks
  • Implement front-end performance optimizations for responsive user interfaces
  • Participate in architectural discussions for platform scalability
  • Begin contributing to the technical roadmap with well-researched proposals
  • Implement improvement based on feedback and refine product features

180 Days and beyond: Scaling Impact

  • Design and implement foundational platform components that enable scalability
  • Implement comprehensive monitoring and error reporting systems
  • Contribute to DevOps improvements that enhance deployment reliability and speed
  • Collaborate with the Head of Engineering on long-term technical strategy
  • Develop expertise in geospatial datasets or renewable energy data sources
  • Participate in technical hiring and onboarding of new team members

What You Bring

  • 6+ years in software engineering
  • Deep expertise in JavaScript/TypeScript, Node.js, Next.js or Nest.js, MongoDB
  • Strong in API design, testing, and DevOps
  • Product mindset with ownership and attention to quality
  • Startup-ready: fast, flexible, action-oriented
  • Excellent communicator and collaborative teammate
  • Passion for AI, climate tech, and solving hard real-world problems

Bonus:

  • Geospatial or renewable energy data experience
