Job Description Job Title: Principal Analyst – GBS Commercial Location: Bangalore Reporting to: Manager-Marketing Insights 1. Purpose of the role This is a role responsible for driving quality & timely service delivery in Marketing Insights (Consumer and Shopper Insights) by collaboratively working with the offshore and in-country teams for all research studies and ad-hoc request support. The task is to create value through analytical projects combining deep category expertise and research knowledge. 2. Key tasks & accountabilities Design and drive solutions to business issue: Leading the continuous brand tracking survey for all the reporting requirements Performing Deep dives for Business Issues: Connecting dots of various data sources - Brand Health, Panel, Social Media, Sales data from Nielsen etc. Perform Strategic/Special Projects: Projects run for meeting long terms goals which are not the usual tracking reports. Consolidation MKT & Commercial: cross functional portfolio analytical projects (HH panel – Nielsen – Survey) Role to perform request execution, gather analysis / interpretation / learnings out of the data, share the data request output with Brand/Insights team & close the Request. Requires analyst to investigate the hypothesis received from business by looking into various data sources such as Brand Health, Panel, Social Media, Sales data from Nielsen etc. Automation & Process Transformation: Drive continuous improvement initiatives across Insights process. Drive standardization and automation of process to drive efficiencies Interpret and present data/reports in an easy to ‘read and comprehend’ storytelling manner. Devise long-term development strategies for brand health by benchmarking and creating best in class. Timeline Definition for Ad-hoc business issue: Independently decide Time Estimation and Timeline Definition for every approved Request Responsible for communicating timelines to the Brand/Insights team 3. Qualifications, Experience, Skills Level of educational attainment required: Graduate/Masters in the field of Business, Marketing, Analytics, or other equivalent degree or work experience Previous work experience required: 5 years + of professional experience with prior experience in FMCG, Retail Insights & analytics or consulting companies Ideal candidate should have right mix of Business Context, Data and Technology skills. Prior experience in managing and working with multiple data sources. 5 years + with relevant experience in market research and analytics Experience in liaising with multiple vendors/agencies/stakeholders Technical skills required: Advanced MS Excel, PowerPoint (Must Have) Advanced Visual management: Power BI (Must Have) Statistical knowledge for deep diving data (Must Have) Python (Good To Have) SQL (Good To Have) And above all of this, an undying love for beer We dream big to create future with more cheers.
