Job Title: Account Manager

Job Summary:
As the Account Manager at Scylla Luxury Resort & Spa, you will be responsible for overseeing the resort's financial operations, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and financial health. Your role involves managing financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and internal controls to support strategic decision-making and operational efficiency. With your financial expertise and leadership skills, you will contribute to the resort's overall success and profitability.
Responsibilities:
Financial Reporting:
Prepare and analyze financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements, to provide accurate and timely financial information to management and stakeholders.
Ensure compliance with accounting principles, regulations, and standards (e.g., GAAP, IFRS) in financial reporting.
Review financial reports for accuracy, completeness, and adherence to internal policies and external requirements.
Budgeting and Forecasting:
Lead the annual budgeting process, working closely with department heads to develop operating and capital budgets aligned with business objectives.
Prepare financial forecasts and projections based on historical data, market trends, and business forecasts to support planning and decision-making.
Monitor budget performance, analyze variances, and provide recommendations to optimize resource allocation and financial outcomes.
Financial Analysis:
Conduct financial analysis and performance evaluation of revenue streams, cost centers, and operational metrics to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement.
Provide financial insights and recommendations to support strategic initiatives, investment decisions, and revenue enhancement strategies.
Develop financial models and scenarios to assess the impact of business decisions on financial performance and profitability.
Internal Controls and Compliance:
Establish and maintain internal controls and procedures to safeguard assets, ensure accuracy of financial records, and mitigate financial risks.
Conduct periodic reviews and audits to assess compliance with policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
Collaborate with internal and external auditors to facilitate audits and address findings and recommendations.
Cash Management and Treasury:
Manage cash flow and liquidity, including monitoring cash balances, forecasting cash needs, and optimizing cash management strategies.
Oversee banking relationships, including bank account management, credit facilities, and treasury operations.
Implement cash management policies and procedures to maximize returns and minimize risks.
Financial Planning and Strategy:
Participate in strategic planning and decision-making processes by providing financial insights, analysis, and recommendations.
Support the development of business plans, investment proposals, and long-term financial strategies to drive growth and profitability.
Evaluate business performance against strategic objectives and identify opportunities for financial optimization and improvement.
Team Leadership and Development:
Lead and mentor the finance team, including financial analysts, accountants, and clerical staff, fostering a culture of professionalism, accountability, and continuous improvement.
Provide guidance, training, and development opportunities to enhance the skills and capabilities of finance staff.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA or CMA designation preferred.
Previous experience in financial management roles, preferably in the hospitality industry or a related field is mandatory.
Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting standards, and financial analysis techniques.
Proficiency in financial software and ERP systems; experience with hospitality-specific systems (e.g., PMS, POS) is advantageous.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal abilities.
