Job Title: Quality Assurance Engineer Location: Hybrid in Bangalore office (2 Days) RELX India Private Limited The Executive Centre, Level 6, Wing E, Helios Business Park, Kadubeesanahalli, Bengaluru , India Duration : Contract Job Description: About the Role We are seeking an experienced Quality Assurance Engineer with strong automation and manual testing skills to join our growing QA team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with Playwright or similar automation frameworks, REST API testing , and will be responsible for ensuring high-quality releases through robust test planning, execution, and reporting. Key Responsibilities · Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts using Playwright or equivalent frameworks (e.G., Cypress, Selenium, Puppeteer). · Perform manual testing for new features, bug fixes, and regression cycles. · Conduct REST API testing using tools such as Postman, Newman, or similar. · Develop comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test reports to ensure complete coverage. · Collaborate with developers, product managers, and DevOps teams to identify and resolve defects early. · Participate in code reviews , contribute to QA strategy, and promote best testing practices. · Support CI/CD integration of automated tests and continuous improvement of test pipelines. · Ensure test documentation is up to date and aligned with project requirements. Required Skills & Qualifications · Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field. · 5+ years of experience in software testing (automation and manual). · Strong hands-on experience with Playwright , or similar automation tools (Cypress, Selenium, Puppeteer). · Proficiency in REST API testing (Postman, etc.). · Solid understanding of test design techniques , SDLC , and Agile methodologies . · Experience with CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, etc.). · Familiarity with version control systems (Git). · Familiarity on AWS infrastructure · Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. · Strong communication and documentation abilities. Preferred Skills · Experience with performance and load testing tools (e.G., JMeter, k6). · Knowledge of scripting languages like C#, Java , JavaScript , TypeScript , or Python . · Exposure to containerized environments (Docker , Kubernetes ) is a plus
