Position: Senior Cloud and Security Engineer


Responsible for overseeing and managing cloud infrastructure and security initiatives across the organization, this role consistently emphasizes the identification and mitigation of potential risks and vulnerabilities associated with cloud services. It also involves ensuring the implementation of disaster recovery and business continuity plans. This position plays a critical role in advancing the organization's cloud adoption while safeguarding its data and operations from potential threats and risks. This is a remote position that requires working hours aligned with US Eastern Standard Time (EST).

Infrastructure Management

Managing the organization's cloud infrastructure, which includes resource provisioning, scaling, and optimization to meet performance and cost targets.

Collaborating with cross-functional teams, such as development, operations, and compliance, to align cloud strategies with broader business objectives.

Evaluating all third-party services and applications used across the organization and ensuring that we are using the latest versions.

Working with cloud providers to ensure that software services are promptly patched as needed.

Designing, implementing, and managing endpoint (laptop) system management, including tools such as Ninja RMM, Hexnode MDM, Jamf NOW, and antivirus protection.

Strong understanding of GCP cloud products and implementation to ensure seamless integration with GKE deployments and overall cloud infrastructure management.

Ensuring the security of cloud-based systems by implementing and maintaining robust security measures, compliance standards, and best practices, which encompass data protection, access control, and threat detection and response.

Identifying and mitigating potential risks and vulnerabilities associated with cloud services, while also ensuring that disaster recovery and business continuity plans are in place.

Ensuring compliance with relevant industry standards and regulations, such as GDPR, SOC2, and other organizational requirements.

Establishing and maintaining a secure cloud environment/platform for all applications, utilizing firewalls, VPCs, network segregation, Remote-VPN, encryption, and other appropriate measures.

Performing all responsibilities of an Information Security Officer and Data Protection Officer (DPO), defining and maintaining policies and documentation that align with our ISO and DPO programs.

Developing, maintaining, and conducting company-wide Security Awareness Training on an ongoing basis.
