Job Description:

  • Responsible for developing and managing SAS and SQL reporting solutions and delivery, including both the planning and design of new solutions to support the department’s reporting requirements, ongoing management, production support, monitoring, and accountability for those solutions.
  • Engage with business stakeholders and advise strategic solutions for their business intelligence needs.
  • Requirements should be documented to assist technicians to build the functional/ integration component.
  • Delivery is expected through an Agile delivery model delivering the outputs on the SAS,
  • Design, track and interpret key performance indicators and analytical models.
  • Recommend and establish action plans based on such indicators/models to mitigate risks and optimize.
  • Compile/mine data from multiple business sources.


Profile Description:

  • Experience: Experience working in a complex SAS environment. Working experience of 8-10 years in SAS (SAS version 9.3 & 9.4).
  • Skills: Deep understanding of SAS 9.3 & 9.4. Experience performing data management and manipulation along with analytics.
  • Qualifications: Relevant degree such as Bachelor's and Master's Degree in Statistics, Computer Science, Mathematics, Economics, Business, Engineering, Finance, Education, Biostatistics, Technical.
  • Competencies: Strong leadership abilities, with a proven track record of managing large-scale data projects. Ability to balance technical and business needs in designing data solutions.
  • Certifications: SAS 9.3 or 9.4
  • Knowledge: Life Science Domain knowledge. Extensive knowledge of data governance, security best practices, and compliance in cloud environments. Familiarity with big data technologies like Apache Hadoop and Spark.
  • Soft Skills: Excellent communication skills to work effectively with both technical teams and business stakeholders. Ability to lead and mentor a team of data engineers and architects.
  • Tools: SAS Studio and SAS enterprise Guide.
