Embedded Linux Multimedia Engineer – GStreamer/Codecs

Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and unit-test multimedia codec applications and middleware modules.
- Integrate and optimize multimedia drivers, codecs, and pipelines on Linux-based platforms.
- Work with multimedia frameworks such as
GStreamer, OpenGL, V4L2, DRM
for feature development. - Debug, analyze, and resolve issues across applications, middleware, and drivers.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams for multimedia certification (Netflix, Prime Video, YouTube).
- Optimize multimedia system performance, stability, and power efficiency.
Technical Skills:
- Strong programming skills in
C and C++
. - Hands-on experience with
Linux applications interfacing with drivers, algorithms, and multimedia pipelines
. - Expertise in video/audio codecs:
H.264, VP9, HEVC
. - Proficiency with
Linux V4L2 codec software
. - Practical experience with
GStreamer
or
Android Multimedia frameworks
. - Knowledge of
Linux threads, system calls, and serialization mechanisms
. - Experience in
embedded Linux user-space application development
. - Debugging proficiency with
GDB, KDB, Trace tools
