This team is chartered to understand the pain points in the existing operational processes carried out by the analysts, and provide tooling and automation solutions to ensure that analysts at Okta are enabled to deliver products at high velocity and scale without compromising on the quality and operational standards. Responsibilities:

Design and develop automation tools that enable faster automated deployments for new connectorsWork with Okta’s integration analysts, architects, and product owners to understand pain points in existing DevOps operational processes. Then design, spec, build, and test streamlined automated solutions for repetitive tasks and workflows.Own your code at all stages of the lifecycle - design, implementation, test automation, delivery, and monitoring - to provide high-quality products with zero downtime for internal usersContribute to the design and implementation of new products and features while also working down our existing technical debtParticipate in code reviews, retrospectives, and other continuous improvement activitiesCollaborate with QA, Technical Support, Documentation teams

Experience:

3+ years of experience building, launching, and maintaining complex systemsProven experience in Python and/or similar languages, and passionate about building diverse, robust toolingDeep understanding of server side technologiesExperience in building tools leveraged by other developersExperience working with cloud systems at scale.Excellent grasp of software development and testing principles.

Nice to Haves:

Knowledge in PostgreSQLFamiliarity with Javascript, NodeJS and related technologiesKnowledge in Docker & Kubernetes

Education and Training:

Bachelors in Computer Science, or relevant industry experience
