We are looking for a talented Senior Product Designer to join our theme team and take our Shopify themes to the next level.

JOB SUMMARY:

As a Senior Product Designer specializing in Shopify theme design, you will be responsible for crafting visually stunning and highly functional e-commerce experiences. You will collaborate closely with Theme teams to deliver exceptional designs that align with Shopify theme ecosystem and meet global merchants needs. Your role will encompass all aspects of design, from initial concept to final handoff to developers and improving on going theme experience.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:Visual Design:

Create visually compelling and aesthetically pleasing designs that enhance the user experience and align with brand guidelines.Design Systems:

Develop and maintain design systems to ensure consistency across all products and platforms. Implement best practices for scalability and efficiency.UX Design:

Conduct user research and usability testing to inform design decisions. Create user personas, journey maps, wireframes, and prototypes to illustrate design concepts.UI Design:

Design intuitive and responsive user interfaces that deliver an optimal user experience across different devices and screen sizes.Design Process:

Lead and refine the design process, from ideation to execution, ensuring a user-centered approach is followed throughout.Design Asset Management:

Organize and manage design assets, ensuring they are easily accessible and up-to-date for the design and development teams.Developer Handoff:

Prepare and deliver comprehensive design specifications, assets, and documentation to developers. Collaborate with developers to ensure the final product meets design standards and user expectations.

REQUIREMENTS:Experience:

Minimum of 5+ years of experience in product design, with a focus on e-commerce and Shopify theme design.

Skills:Excellent visual design skills with a strong portfolio showcasing your work.Proficiency in design systems and creating scalable design solutions.Strong understanding of UX principles and best practices.Expertise in UI design and responsive web design.Mastered with design tools such as Figma, Adobe Creative Suite, and prototyping tools.Knowledge of HTML, CSS, and front-end development is a plus.

Soft Skills:Excellent communication and collaboration skills.Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.Adaptability and a willingness to learn and grow within the role.

WHAT YOU GONNA BUILD:

You are going to build a Shopify theme ( for the global market, emphasising responsiveness, multilingual and multi-currency support, and user-friendly navigation. This theme will be highly customisable, allowing merchants to easily create unique stores without technical skills, and optimized for performance to ensure fast load times and high SEO rankings. It will adhere to accessibility standards, ensure inclusivity, and integrate robust security features to protect consumer data. By enhancing both merchant capabilities and consumer shopping experiences, this theme will support global commerce, making online shopping more accessible, enjoyable, and secure for millions worldwide.
