Audio SW architect

Expected Experience/Expertise:


  • production ready software following a defined software development process.
  • software features and architectures for an audio amplifier platform based on requirements from other domains/stakeholders/Specifications.
  • design conflicts arising from multiple requirement sources and maximize code re-use, flexibility and scalability.
  • in Audio Management, Diagnostics and Error Handling.
  • have 8+ years of experience in Audio domain.
  • models and documentation suitable for other developers to create an implementation.
  • with software team leaders to negotiate resolution of issues.
  • and coordinate activities with third party developers and contractors.
  • have 8+ years of experience in C++ with strong knowledge of OOPs concept and design patterns.
  • have experience in modelling languages like UML/SySML .
  • understanding of design tools such as Enterprise Architect, Rhapsody etc.,
  • experience in Inter and Intra ECU IPC communications is necessary.
  • and experience in advanced Architectures such as Service Oriented Architecture (SOA), Software Defined Vehicle (SDV) etc will be an added advantage.
  • and experience in any Audio management applications like GENIVI Audio manager, Android Audio Manager etc and audio routing/audio servers like ALSA, Pulse Audio, tiny ALSA etc



Key responsibilities of the role will include:

  • of Detailed design
  • an Architecture of the Audio processing pipeline.
  • of Diagnostic and error Handling.
  • of acceptance test cases for the area of expertise
  • technical challenges faced in responsible areas.


Previous Experience:

  • have worked in a complex onboard automotive project owning the responsibility for design and implementation.
  • working knowledge of Agile scrum methodologies and continuous S/W integration are essential.
  • with ASIL and ISO26262 standards.
  • knowledge of Android/QNX and LINUX operating systems.
  • DSP architecture and workflow knowledge.
  • or other structured language.
  • to read schematics and debug analog and digital hardware.
  • in any of design tools.
  • understanding of software design and architectural patterns.
