About Nua
Nua is a venture-funded, direct-to-consumer brand founded on a dream to transform women’s wellness in India. Our story began with a pad. And not just any pad that could be picked off the shelves but one that was truly thought around a woman’s needs.
However, we soon realized that the need for safe & effective products went beyond just pads. So, we asked the women in our community to tell us what they were looking for.
We believe that our Sanitary Pads, Cramp Comfort (India’s first unique self-heating patch), Foaming Intimate Wash, 1mm Everyday Liners, Uplift (period nutrition drink mix) & Balance(essential oil roll-on) are designed by us but are created by our community of over 10 Lakh women who wanted to start a new and improved wellness journey.
As for our dream, it just got bigger from where we started. As of today, we continue to transform the women’s wellness space in India through safe, innovative, inclusive and effective products that are Made Safe Certified and backed by science.
About the Role
At Nua, we believe in placing our customers at the center of everything we design. We are constantly working towards providing our customers with meaningful experiences while addressing their core needs through an innovative and empathetic mindset.The ideal candidate for this role is someone who is enthusiastic about crafting unique solutions for the brand, in the form of product and packaging design. The role will largely encompass breaking down the briefs provided by the Marketing team and planning the end-to-end design and innovation process – from research to execution.
Key Responsibilities
Closely collaborate with project managers and product development teams to understand the business requirements and ensure a smooth design process.
Drive the design of new products and all physical and print collaterals that are a part of the customer’s journey – from discovery to usage of the product.
Apply design thinking research methodologies, build deeper insights about the customer behavior to deliver thoughtful and innovative designs.
Understand materials, specifications, structures, and recommend feasible solutions for product and packaging.
Track project timelines and create an action plan for projects.
Constantly iterate and improve on designs while ensuring brand consistency.
Stay up to date with the on-going trends for marketing, packaging, and ensure Nua’s designs stay relevant in the industry.
Be original, experimentative with an open mind to try out new things.
Be an advocate for design, organize brainstorm sessions and encourage design thinking across various teams at Nua.
Review artworks at various stages, including bromide approvals and take end to end ownership of the design
Job Requirement
4 - 5 years of experience in Industrial design / Visual communication / Packaging Design / Multi-disciplinary design / Innovation.
Bachelor’s degree in graphic design or a related field
A portfolio demonstrating application of visual design, packaging design, product / industrial design, brand identity design
Previous experience in a fast-paced startup environment is a plus
Solid knowledge of core design software (Adobe suite, Corel Draw)
Basic understanding of prototyping methods and product development techniques
Detail oriented, critical thinker and customer-centered
Excellent communication skills, self-motivated and a team player
Up-to-date with the latest trends and best practices in design
