List Key Roles and Responsibilities of Position:

1. Design Engineering:

- Develop and design automotive interior Door Trims, Hard Trims components or systems, ensuring compliance with industry regulations, standards, and technical specifications.

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (product development, manufacturing, quality, to ensure effective design implementation.

- Conduct engineering analysis, simulations, and testing to validate design concepts.

- Create detailed engineering design in Cad-Catia V5, drawings and specifications for manufacturing processes of plastic, sheet metal components 

- Research and recommend new materials, technologies, and design methodologies to enhance product performance, reliability, and cost-effectiveness.

- Exposure to the Global Product Development System or system design engineering principles

- Component loading to support CAD-to-BOM alignment.

- Exposure to TCE and Vis mockup

2. Release Engineering:

- Coordinate and manage the release process for automotive interior Door Trims, Hard Trims components, systems, or entire vehicles.

- Review engineering designs, documentation, and change requests to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with Automotive standards.

- Prepare GPDS release schedules, track progress, and communicate timelines to relevant stakeholders.

- Prepare BOM and release systems in like FEDE

- Coordinate and lead design reviews, ensuring that all necessary approvals are obtained.

- Maintain documentation and track configuration changes throughout the release process.

3. Manufacturing Liaison:

- Act as a point of contact between design engineering and manufacturing teams, addressing inquiries, and resolving issues related to component designs or specifications.

- Collaborate with manufacturing engineers to optimize production processes and ensure efficient and cost-effective manufacturing of components.

- Provide guidance and support to the manufacturing team during the production ramp-up phase.

4. Quality Assurance:

- Collaborate with the quality team to define and implement quality standards and processes for automotive components.

- Participate in quality audits, failure mode analysis, and root cause investigations.

- Implement corrective actions to address quality issues and improve product reliability.

- Support the development and execution of quality control plans and testing procedures.

- Develop DFMEA, PFMEA & Control plans during design & development phase 

5. Project Management:

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to plan and manage projects related to component design and release.

- Track project progress, identify risks, and develop mitigation strategies.

- Ensure adherence to project timelines and budget constraints.

- Communicate project status, risks, and achievements to relevant stakeholders.

Min 3~5 Years experience in Interior or Exterior Trims Automotive design & development. Exposure to Automotive manufacturing & assembly process  Exposure to Catia V5, TCE and Vis mockup Exposure to the Global Product Development System or system design engineering principles

Qualifications Required:

Minimum Bachelor level Degree of Mechanical / Automobile engineering or equivalent
