Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Bioinformatics personnel to join our dynamic team. The Bioinformatician will play a crucial role in the analysis and interpretation of biological data, with a focus on genomics and next-generation sequencing (NGS) data. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in bioinformatics, proficiency in programming languages, and a passion for applying computational methods to address biological questions.

Key Responsibilities:

1. NGS Data Analysis:

- Conduct analysis of NGS data, including but not limited to DNA and RNA sequencing data.

- Perform quality control, alignment, variant calling, and annotation.

2. Bioinformatics Pipeline Development :

- Develop and optimize bioinformatics pipelines for the analysis of genomics data.

- Implement and maintain efficient and reproducible workflows.

3. Data Interpretation and Reporting:

- Interpret and communicate results of bioinformatics analyses to interdisciplinary teams.

- Generate visualizations to aid in the understanding of complex biological data.

4. Tool and Database Management:

- Evaluate, implement, and manage bioinformatics tools, databases, and resources.

- Stay informed about the latest developments in bioinformatics tools and methodologies.

5. Collaboration with Research Teams:

- Collaborate with researchers and scientists to understand project goals and data requirements.

- Provide bioinformatics support for ongoing research projects.

6. Documentation and Reporting:

- Maintain comprehensive documentation of bioinformatics workflows and analyses.

- Prepare clear and concise reports for internal and external stakeholders.

Requirements:

1. Education: Master's or Ph.D. in Bioinformatics, Computational Biology, or a related field.

2. Experience:

- Demonstrated experience in the analysis of genomics data, particularly NGS datasets.

- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, R, or others relevant to bioinformatics.

3. Bioinformatics Tools: Familiarity with a range of bioinformatics tools, algorithms, and databases.

4. Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with attention to detail.

5. Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to convey complex concepts to diverse audiences.

6. Team Collaboration: Ability to work effectively in cross-functional and interdisciplinary teams.
