Data Engineer JD:
Job Overview
We are looking for a Data Engineer with 4-5 years of experience in the data engineering space, preferably within the banking or financial services sector. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data architecture, ETL processes, and data pipeline development. They will play a crucial role in designing, implementing, and optimizing data solutions that support our banking operations and analytics initiatives.
Shift Timings: 7:00AM to 04:00PM
Key Responsibilities
Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines and ETL processes to support data integration and analytics.
Understand the client’s data IP and create usable documentation of key data metrics.
Collaborate with data scientists, analysts, and business stakeholders to understand data requirements and deliver robust data solutions.
Implement data models, database schemas, and data storage solutions tailored to the needs of banking applications.
Ensure data quality, integrity, and security of data layer used for reporting and analytics.
Optimize and tune data processing systems for performance and scalability.
Work with big data technologies and cloud platforms (e.g., Hadoop, Spark, AWS, Azure) to manage and process large datasets.
Monitor and troubleshoot data pipelines, ensuring timely and accurate data delivery.
Develop and maintain documentation for data processes, architecture, and configurations.
Required Skills and Qualifications
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
4-5 years of experience in data engineering, with a focus on the banking or financial services sector.
Proficiency in SQL and experience with relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL, Oracle).
Strong programming skills in languages such as Python, Java, or Scala.
Hands-on experience with ETL tools and frameworks (e.g., Apache NiFi, Talend, Informatica).
Experience with big data technologies (e.g., Hadoop, Spark, Kafka).
Working knowledge with cloud platforms and services (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
Knowledge of data warehousing solutions (e.g., Snowflake, Redshift, BigQuery).
Understanding of data governance, data security, and regulatory requirements in the banking sector.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Strong communication and collaboration skills.
Preferred Skills and Qualifications
Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
Knowledge of machine learning frameworks and techniques.
Certification in cloud platforms (e.g., AWS Certified Big Data, Google Professional Data Engineer).
