PURPOSE OF ROLE: The primary purpose of this role is to deliver Business Insights (BI) Reporting solutions on MicroStrategy, Google Looker and other reporting platforms. The Dashboard Developer shall be responsible for designing, building, maintaining, testing and evaluating these processes in close partnership with BI solution architects and other analytic partners. This role translates requirements into new reporting processes, maintains and executes existing processes, as well as continuous improvements.

Responsibilities:

·6 – 8 years of experience in design, development and maintenance of Business Intelligence solutions 

·Essential to have experience in Data Warehousing within depth knowledge in SQL.

·Experience working with Looker or and Looker Studio.

·Experience extracting data from a variety of sources, and a desire to expand those skills.

·Experience in handling visualization tools like MicroStrategy and Looker.

·Familiarity to LookML models, and dashboards.

·Familiarity with Looker’s shared consumption portal and features

·Develop, Design and Support Interactive dashboards, reports, and exception Reports.

·Provide production support for looker dashboards and reporting solutions along with performance tuning.

·Make recommendations regarding visualization optimization, implementation, testing and deploying in Production.

·Incorporate performance and data quality considerations into visualization planning and delivery.

·Optimize reports to ensure a responsive solution when visualization of vast amounts of data.

·Understand and anticipate the needs of business teams to determine the best approach to effectively meet those needs through data visualizations.

·Work closely with data engineering, data architects, BSAs to develop end to end reporting solutions.

·Visualize and calculate metrics, KPIs from various data sources.

·Create documentation for best practices, training, and maintenance.

·Explore data to design, develop, and test dashboard solutions for a variety of industries.

·Facilitate requirements gathering sessions with business and technical stakeholders to distill data and reporting requirements.

·Candidate with working experience on Snowflake would be an added benefit.

·Experience with visualization software: Google Looker, Tableau, Power BI, Amazon QuickSight, Birst, QlikView, Sisense, SAP BOBJ 

·Ability to Design and develop and support schema objects, build grids, graphs, reports, documents and dashboards.

·Excellent Communication Skills.

·Exposure to looker admin activities and associated testing.

Education:

Required: Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science/Information Systems/Mathematics/Sciences

Preferred: Master’s Degree in Computer Science/Information Systems

Qualifications

·6 – 8 years of experience in design, development and maintenance of Business Intelligence solutions using Google Looker, MicroStrategy, Tableau, Power BI , Quick view or similar Reporting/ Visualization tool

·Excellent dashboard design skillset, including UI/visualization aspects and performance tuning of dashboards, intelligent cubes, transaction services.

·Highly proficient with design and development of grid reports, report services documents, dashboards and scorecards.

·Knowledge on performance tuning of report SQLs, MicroStrategy VLDB settings.

·Good to have experience in Data Warehousing within depth knowledge in SQL.

·Strong knowledge on report bursting features, Narrowcast, Distribution services.,

·Experience in iPhone and IPAD Mobile dashboard development

·Strong RDBMS skills which includes writing complex SQL queries (preferred Teradata. Snowflake, Oracle or any other Cloud Technologies).

·Experience in a retail or supply chain environment

·Exposure in Control M enterprise scheduling

·Experience with MicroStrategy dynamic dashboards and reporting

·Good analytical and communication skills

·Strong understanding of retail technology and supporting business processes

·Strong analytical creative problem-solving capabilities
