Role OverviewWe are looking for an experienced developer who has a strong foundation in

Classic ASP

and SQL Server and is eager to contribute to a dynamic modernization project. This role will involve understanding the existing system, supporting it with enhancements and fixes, and transitioning to a development team focused on upgrading the application with modern technologies.

Key ResponsibilitiesSupport and Maintenance :Analyze, debug, and resolve issues in the existing Classic ASP application.Understand and document the application’s codebase, database structure, and workflows.Implement customer-requested enhancements and features.Database Management :Work with the SQL Server database to write queries, optimize performance, and manage data.Ensure data integrity and reliability while implementing changes.Application Modernization :Collaborate with the modernization team to understand the requirements for upgrading the application.Participate in the redevelopment process using React and .NET Core.Transition knowledge of the Classic ASP application to the new system.Continuous Learning :Stay updated on the latest technologies to effectively transition to the modernization phase.Be willing to learn and contribute to new technologies like React and .NET Core.Collaboration :Work closely with other developers, project managers, and stakeholders to ensure timely and quality deliverables.Communicate effectively to clarify requirements and report progress.

QualificationsExperience and SkillsClassic ASP :5-6+ years of experience working with Classic ASP and managing legacy codebases.Strong understanding of Classic ASP workflows and integration with SQL Server.Database :Proficiency in SQL Server, including complex queries, stored procedures, and performance tuning.Modern Technologies (Optional) :Exposure to modern technologies like React and .NET Core is a plus.Willingness to learn and contribute to the modernization project.Development Best Practices :Experience with debugging, version control (e.g., Git), and delivering production-grade software.Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.Soft Skills:Ability to work with minimal supervision and take ownership of tasks.Strong communication skills to interact with stakeholders and team members.Eagerness to learn and adapt to new technologies.
