Sitefinity Developer

Role Overview We are looking for a skilled Sitefinity Developer with experience in upgrades, migrations, and custom development work. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in CMS enhancements, creating forms and widgets, improving SEO, and optimizing website performance. A key focus of the role will involve transitioning the current VM-based environment to a PaaS-based Azure platform, eliminating the need for administrative interventions.
Key Responsibilities
Upgrades and Migrations:
Upgrade existing Sitefinity CMS versions to the latest release.
Migrate content and functionalities from other CMS platforms to Sitefinity.
Custom Development:
Design and implement forms, widgets, and custom modules in Sitefinity.
Enhance existing CMS features to meet evolving business needs.
Performance Optimization:
Ensure website performance improvements, including page speed optimization and scalability.
Implement SEO best practices to enhance website ranking.
Azure Integration:
Transition the existing VM-based environment to an Azure PaaS-based solution.
Ensure all applications and services are compatible with PaaS architecture.
Continuous Improvement:
Monitor and improve website accessibility and user experience.
Regularly update and maintain Sitefinity to ensure security and performance.
Qualifications and Skills
Technical Expertise:
3+ years of professional experience working with Sitefinity CMS.
Strong understanding of CMS upgrades, migrations, and custom development.
Proficiency in .NET development and Sitefinity API integrations.
Familiarity with SEO techniques and tools to improve site ranking.
Experience with performance optimization tools and techniques for web applications.
Azure Experience:
Hands-on experience with Azure PaaS services (App Services, Functions, Azure SQL, etc.).
Knowledge of transitioning applications from VM-based environments to PaaS.
Additional Skills:
Strong understanding of web technologies such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and jQuery.
Experience with responsive web design and cross-browser compatibility.
Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices for Azure environments.
Soft Skills:
Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Preferred Qualifications
Sitefinity Developer Certification.
Experience with other CMS platforms like WordPress, Drupal, or Umbraco.
Understanding of Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS) and microservices architecture.
