The Architecture org of IT provides technology solutions and services that is foundational to the enterprise and builds platforms and artefacts that are consumed by application development team to solve business problems.
This is a senior architect role for SSGAs Architecture team which is a core centralized team helping the applications and platform engineering teams with various architectural solutions.
Key Responsibilities include:
SSGA is going through a transformational journey for it's applications/platforms migration from On-Premises to AWS Cloud.
As a member of a high performing group you will be responsible for designing, developing and implementing cloud solution, optimizing the performance and quality of the solutions.
You will need to collaborate with the global application teams, functional owners and build efficient solutions for SSGAs multi-year cloud migration program.
Skills & Knowledge
Qualification & Certifications
A minimum of B.E/BTech degree in Computer Science or related field
AWS Solutions Architect Associate or AWS Solutions Architect Professional certification - Good to have
Primary Skills (Must Have)
15+ years of overall IT experience with 8+ years of relevant hands-on experience in Core Java, microservices architecture patterns, UI - Angular/React JS
Solid understanding of AWS ecosystem
Hands on AWS Cloud Architecture experience having in-depth knowledge of AWS Core services like EC2, Lambda, SQS, SNS, Cloud formation, Postgres, Redshift/Databricks
CICD deployment experience for the mentioned services via cloud formation templates
Very good Knowledge of PL/SQL, data modeling, performance tuning, query optimizations in OLTP/OLAP systems
Experience in writing Python scripts for ETL/Data pipeline
Exposure to Apache Airflow
Secondary Skills (Good to Have)
Knowledge of Informatica, AWS Glue, Pentaho, Snowflake
Cloud deployment/migration journey experience
Note that this is an individual contributor role. The person should have architect mindset and prior experience working in centralized architecture organizations is preferred.
