100% Remote RolePermanent positionJob Title: Sr. Java Developer

Required:• At least 8 years’ experience in a senior level software development role utilizing Java and related technologies:• Core Java/J2EE• JSP• Hibernate• Spring• Web Services (RESTFul and/or SOAP)• Strong MS/SQL knowledge and thorough understanding of relational data structures• Thorough understanding and ability to contribute to technical solutions from design to delivery• Experience managing the delivery of system/software changes in a structured environment• Thorough understanding of the Software Development Lifecycle and commonly used project management methodologies such as Agile and Waterfall• Ability to capture requirements, perform analysis and develop process improvement approaches• Ability to prioritize and carry out multiple tasks• Excellent communication skills and experience working with external clients• Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills• Ability to produce quality work within an aggressive schedule• Bachelor’s degree or global equivalent required• Knowledge of and experience in the Insurance industry (Life/Health/Annuities) is a Plus• Specific experience in Life/Health/Annuity Claims/Medicare Supplemental is a Major Plus• Experience interfacing with legacy systems is a Plus

In the role of Senior Engineer, the Candidate will -Be a skillful developer with strong coding, debugging, heap dump analysis and process flow design experienceAdept at analyzing SQL data structures for performance and problem resolutionHave and understanding of MS/Word marcos and their useBe able to provide support of Apache Web and Tomcat Application serversBe able to work independently or as part of a team on assigned tasksWork with both internal and client teams on support issues and assigned projectsParticipate as a member of the On-Call support team

Key Role and ResponsibilitiesResponsible for problem determination, analysis and coding of fixes and enhancements and functionality review through the InsPro Software Development LifecycleCollaborates with other teams (internal and client) to understand support issues and/or business requirements for functionality on the Majesco InsPro PAS platformDeliver code and testing for application changes/fixes to meet customer requirements and resolve customer issuesProvide timely and accurate status updates on projectsProvide support of batch and online processes, including participation in the support rotation schedule.Provide ongoing coaching and feedback to less experienced team membersMust be comfortable and capable of working in a fully remote role
