Job Description for Solar Design Engineer

We are looking for an outstanding Solar Design Engineers to join our team in Hyderabad (working from home or remotely is acceptable). We are looking for someone who can run detailed Solar Designs on rooftops for Residential, Commercial & Industrial customers. Working knowledge of Autocad is a must. Experience in basic electrical design would be preferable

Job Responsibilities

● Create detailed designs of Solar layouts for rooftops, car parks and ground mounted systems on Autocad / CAD.

● Create detailed Single Line Diagrams (preferred).

● Creating & delivering solar permit packages to customers in the US.

● Convert sketches and drawings from engineers into technical designs as required by different municipal authorities / utilities.

● Collaborate with a distributed team in both India & the US to improve upon designs.

● Find and address performance issues.

Requirements

Technical

● Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Engineering or related field. An associate’s degree from a technical institute will also be preferred.

● 2+ years’ experience in drafting / design work. (Even if you are from some other background but have a passion for Solar and have Work to show for it, feel free to Apply.)

● Proficient in using CAD and AutoCAD software. Certifications would be helpful.

● Strong understanding of Solar PV system design.

● Detail-oriented individual.

● Good time management skills to work on deadlines.

● Excellent oral and written communication skills.

Preferred

● Working experience in an Engineering Dept of Solar EPC companies.

● Knowledge of electrical design & creating SLDs.

● Knowledge of 3D and 2D modelling tools.

● Prior experience of design software like Enact, PVSyst, Helioscope, Aurora Solar, etc.,

● Location – Hyderabad would be preferred but applicants from all over India can also apply

● BYOD – we would prefer applicants who have their own laptops
