Lead Data Scientist, Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning


Educational background

• B.Tech/B.Stat/M.Stat in Computer science/Mathematics/Statistics or related field from a Tier-1/2 university


Technical Skills

• 6+ years of AI/ML Engineering experience

• 2+ years of experience managing small team of ML/AI engineers

• Track record of delivering and productionizing end-to-end Big-data science projects at enterprise scale

• Ability to efficiently write Big-Data pre-processing and ETL pipelines with consistency, veracity, and reproducibility

• Experienced in Big Data Science projects (Churn Modeling, Risk Modeling, Up-sell/Cross-sell Propensity, Market-Basket Analysis, Fraud Detection, Predictive/Econometric Modeling, Recommender systems, Next Best Action Modeling, Time Series analysis and Forecasting, Anomaly detection, Segmentation, Campaign planning)

• Expert knowledge of statistical modelling (like GLMs, Time series analysis, Hypothesis testing, Clustering, Bayesian modelling, Causal modeling, Design of experiments)

• Good exposure to classical ML concepts and algorithms (XGBOOST, Random forests, SVM, Bagging, Boosting, Kernel methods etc.)

• Expert knowledge of Python/SQL and working knowledge BigData frameworks such as PySpark (MLlib)/HIVE/HADOOP

• Good computer science fundaments in data structures, algorithms, automated testing, object-oriented programming, performance complexity, and implications of computer architecture on software performance.


Behavioural/Soft Skills

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, including the ability to explain and discuss technicalities of solutions, algorithms and techniques with colleagues and clients from other disciplines

• Curiosity, proactivity and critical thinking.

• Experience working according to agile principles (Working knowledge of JIRA)

• Ability to collaborate with people at all levels and with multi-office/region teams

• Ability to work independently and juggle priorities to thrive in a fast paced and ambiguous environment, while also collaborating as part of a team in complex situations


Good to have

• Experience with Cloud platforms and services (AWS, Azure, GCP, etc.)

• Experience working with Deep Learning technologies and frameworks such as tensorflow, torch and architectures such as RNNs, LLMs, LSTMs, Transformers etc.

• Expertise on SAS suite (E-Minor and Financial/Fraud Modules)
