Data Engineer

Location: Bangalore

What Role You Are Expected to Play?


•Own the full Data Engineering project lifecycle from requirements gathering and design through deployment and post-production support.


•Design, develop, and maintain scalable ETL, Reverse ETL processes using Airflow and dbt.


•Implement and optimize API-based data ingestion pipelines for seamless, automated data flow from third-party systems and internal sources.


•Create and maintain consistent data models for structured, and semi-structured (JSON) in dbt / AWS Glue to enable analytics and BI solutions.


•Leverage Terraform to manage Snowflake and AWS services and architect robust, cost-effective data storage and compute solutions.


•Establish data quality testing, monitoring, alerting, and remediation workflows using dbt, Monte Carlo, PagerDuty, or equivalent tools.


•Develop and execute unit, integration, and regression tests for end-to-end data processes to uphold code quality and reliability.


•Prior experience in setting up data lake or data warehouse is preferred.


•Prior experience in driving data modernization or data migration projects is preferred

Essential Experience and Skillset You Should Have:


•Bachelor's or Master's in Computer Science, Data Engineering, or related field


•3+ years in a Data Engineer role with at least 3 years building ETL/ELT processes in AWS and Snowflake ecosystem.


•Experience with dbt for data modelling and transformation of structured and semi-structured data.


•Solid understanding of SQL and experience writing complex queries for data extraction and manipulation.


•Experience working with Snowflake / AWS or similar cloud data warehouses.


•Hands-on experience with Apache Airflow, Terraform and Git.


•Familiarity with Python or other programming languages used for data engineering tasks.


•Familiarity with AWS services and DevOps is a plus.
