At Elucidata, you’ll work at the intersection of AI, biology and impact while solving real-world challenges that accelerate the journey from data to discovery.About the Role: We are seeking a skilled Cloud Platform Engineer to join our dynamic Cloud Platform team. This role is crucial in managing and optimizing our AWS cloud infrastructure, developing solutions using AWS cloud services while ensuring scalability, security, and cost-efficiency across all our cloud operations.What You’ll Own: Infrastructure Management Design, implement, and maintain AWS cloud infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) principles with Terraform Monitor and ensure optimal performance of cloud infrastructure and services Proactively identify and resolve infrastructure issues to maintain high availabilityCost Optimization Monitor AWS spending and usage patterns across all services Implement cost reduction strategies and recommend optimization opportunities Develop and maintain cost allocation and reporting mechanismsSecurity & Access Management Manage and maintain authentication and authorization services across the platform Implement security best practices and compliance requirements Ensure proper access controls and identity managementDevelopment & Automation Write clean, maintainable Python code for developing services Design and implement service architecture solutions Develop tools and scripts to streamline operations and deploymentsDatabase Management Design, configure, and optimize both relational databases and DynamoDB Ensure database performance, backup strategies, and disaster recovery plans Monitor database health and implement scaling strategies as neededDevOps & CI/CD Maintain and improve CI/CD pipelines for infrastructure and application deployments Manage Git workflows and branching strategies Collaborate with development teams to streamline deployment processesWhat Makes You a Great Fit: Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience in developing applications using AWS services Comprehensive knowledge of AWS cloud services and best practices Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code using Terraform Strong programming skills in Python Experience with service architecture design and implementationTechnical Requirements Deep understanding of both relational databases and DynamoDB Solid knowledge of Git version control and collaborative development workflows Experience with CI/CD tools, pipeline management, Dockers Understanding of network architecture, security groups, and VPC configurations Knowledge of monitoring and logging tools (CloudWatch, ELK stack, etc.) Experience with serverless and serverful architecturesCore Competencies Strong problem-solving and analytical skills Excellent communication and collaboration abilities Ability to work in a fast-paced, agile environment Detail-oriented with focus on automation and efficiency Proactive approach to identifying and resolving issuesWe are proud to be an equal-opportunity workplace and an affirmative-action employer.
