Job Summary :

Simulation & APC is an integral part of the Performance Software forming part of the Industrial Software COE. The position of Engineer/ Sr. Engineer would reports to LE/PM and undertake engineering & proposals on projects for customers and users of simulation and advanced control software.In this Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:

Conceptualize, implement and test process models, logic emulation as well as development of graphic user interface as required for a projectStudy customer plant operations and control system , to identify opportunities for improving performanceCollect data from customer sitesGenerate required project documentationConfigure of models and controllers per requirements of projectReport progress, status and issues to supervisor on a weekly basisDemonstrate technology offerings as well as project deliverables to customers and third parties for acceptance during acceptance testsHelp generate proposal deliverablesProvide consulting help to proposal engineering as well as sales teams as necessary for success on pursuitsPlan and allocate as well as monitor tasks required for successful execution of project to team membersConduct knowledge sharing sessions with team membersTrain and mentor newer engineers as well as project team membersCarry out any other activity related to project or proposal engineering per instructions from supervisorParticipate on any organizational initiative/ project in a role as specified by supervisor or managementAbility to learn and willingness to abide by core values of EmersonHelp in continually improving Emerson software through review against objectives and specifications, creating improvement requests and reviewing proposed changes.Maintaining system functionality by testing computer componentsActively contribute towards improvement of the technical support function from Indusrial Software CoEWho you are :

Ability to work with a team towards successful delivery of project or proposal, P&IDs, PFDs.Proficiency with MS Office applications including MS Word, MS Excel , MS Powerpoint and VisioWillingness to undergo technical as well as soft skills training as assigned by supervisorWillingness to travel and live at any location globally, for short/ medium/ long term per requirements of project or pre-sale phase of projectAbility to interact with Customers to successfully complete acceptance tests for deliverables on projectsAbility to foresee technical risks on a project, as well as plan activities to effectively address risksPreferred Qualifications that Set You Apart:

Fluency in English as well as any foreign languageProficiency in use of MS Office applicationsAdequate proficiency in use of multiple dynamic simulation software such as Unisim, Dynsim, K-Spice, INDISS or HYSYS flow assurance tools such as OLGA or LEDAFLOWParticipation in configuration of DCS/ SISExperience of operation/ commissioning of a continuous process plant using a DCSExperience in implementing APC projectsOur Offer to You:
