Job Description
POSITION SUMMARY
A professional Database Administrator (DBA) will be responsible for the implementation, configuration, maintenance, and performance of SQL Server databases in a Windows or cloud environment.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
SQL Server databases through multiple lifecycle environments, from development to mission-critical production systems.
for system administration, troubleshooting, analysis, testing, and technical support
technical assistance to staff in all aspects of database management
to identify, define, and document business problems and opportunities.
and advises application development teams on database design, security, query optimization and performance.
the design, integrity, constraints, indexes, monitoring, performance, replication, mirroring, log shipping, security, availability, capacity management, and access requirements for databases.
database performance, implement changes, and apply new patches and versions when required
SUPPLEMENTAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

Qualifications
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
5-7 years experience with Database Administration for Microsoft SQL Server 2012 and above.
5-7 years’ experience with Microsoft SQL Server, T-SQL, query optimization, and tuning.
Strong scripting skills relevant to DBA day-to-day functions and activities.
Experience managing multiple MS SQL Server production, test, and development environments, supporting MS SQL 2012 and above.
Experience with backup, restore and recovery models.
Experience with SQL Server replication, mirroring, AlwaysOn Availability Groups.
Experience with SQL Azure required.
Experience with data manipulation in production environments.
Experience with XML a plus as it pertains to SQL queries.
Experience with inventory management a plus.
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
Ability to travel up to 10%; may include international travel
