The ideal candidate will be responsible for converting the Hadoop supported sql’s in existing dashboards to Databricks supported sql, perform dashboard validation after conversion.

Developing and maintaining Tableau reports, dashboards, and visualizations, as well as managing Tableau metadata.

This role requires strong technical expertise in Tableau, SQL, and data modeling, along with excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Responsibilities:

- Develop and maintain Tableau reports, dashboards, and visualizations based on business requirements.

- Convert existing Hadoop supported sql in Tableau dashboards/data sources into Databricks supported sql.

-Work experience on Databricks and Hadoop is an advantage.

-Experience on Tableau prep

-Hands-on experience on Tableau metadata, knowledge on GraphQl and Tableau Rest API’s

- Collaborate with stakeholders to understand their reporting needs and translate them into Tableau solutions.

- Perform data analysis and data modeling to identify and extract relevant data from multiple sources.

- Optimize Tableau performance by fine-tuning data queries, aggregations, and calculations.

- Create and manage Tableau metadata, including data sources, connections, and security settings.

- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to Tableau reports, data sources, and performance.

- Stay up-to-date with the latest Tableau features, functionalities, and best practices.

- Train end-users on how to effectively use Tableau for data analysis and reporting.

- Collaborate with other team members, such as data engineers and business analysts, to ensure data integrity and consistency.

Requirements:

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.

- Proven experience as a Tableau Developer with hands-on experience in SQL and Tableau metadata.

- In-depth knowledge of Tableau Desktop, Tableau Server, and Tableau Online.

- Strong understanding of SQL and experience in writing complex SQL queries.

- Proficiency in data modeling, data analysis, and data visualization best practices.

- Familiarity with database concepts and experience working with different database systems.

- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders.

- Tableau certification(s) is a plus.
